Dry it and unplug it
Remove the case, wipe the phone and do not charge it while the port is wet.

Media volume up
Press a volume button, open the full volume panel and raise Media. Disconnect Bluetooth earbuds.

Bottom edge down
Choose Bottom and press Start. Turn on Vibrate for an extra shake.

Most Samsung Galaxy S and upper A-series, Pixel and OnePlus phones play stereo through the earpiece. Choose Earpiece, or Both for one guided run.

Leave the phone speaker-down in a dry room for an hour.
Notes for popular Android phones
Samsung Galaxy
"Moisture has been detected" refers to the USB-C port. Unplug, wipe and wait. Samsung phones play media through the earpiece on most S, A5x and Z models.
Google Pixel
Most Pixel phones have stereo speakers with the earpiece as the top speaker. Raise media volume from the volume panel.
OnePlus, Xiaomi, Redmi, Poco, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Motorola
Use Chrome or the built-in browser. Some budget models use the earpiece only in calls: the bottom speaker mode still works.
Vibration
Chrome and Samsung Internet support vibration, so the phone shakes in time with the pulses and buzzes when it is time to flip.

Does Samsung have a built-in water eject?
Samsung phones warn about moisture in the charging port, but they do not have a speaker water eject tone. This page plays one in your browser, with no app to install.
Why is the cleaning sound quiet on my Android phone?
You probably raised the ring volume. Press a volume button, expand the panel and raise Media. Also disconnect Bluetooth earbuds.
Does Vibrate help clean the speaker?
It adds a little extra shake to the whole phone and gives you a haptic cue to flip the phone in Both mode. The sound does most of the work.
Is it safe for my phone?
Yes at moderate volume. Runs stop by themselves and pause after three in a row. Stop if the speaker rattles or buzzes.
